The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, yesterday revealed why his principal will never join issues with former president Olusegun Obasanjo despite his criticisms. China man caught by facial recognition at pop concert

Chinese police have used facial recognition technology to locate and arrest a man who was among a crowd of 60,000 concert goers. The suspect, who has been identified only as Mr Ao, was attending a concert by pop star Jacky Cheung in Nanchang city last weekend when he was caught. Police said the 31-year-old, who was wanted for "economic crimes", was "shocked" when he was caught. China has a huge surveillance network of over 170 million CCTV cameras. Mr Ao was identified by cameras at the concert's ticket entrance, and apprehended by police after he had sat down with other concert goers. "The suspect looked completely caught by surprise when we took him away," police officer Li Jin told state news agency Xinhua . "He didn't think the police would be able to catch him from a crowd of 60,000 so quickly," Mr Li, from Honggutan police station in Nanchang city, added. Ameachi says: we increased the train fare because the rich use it more than the poor

Minister for transportation Rotimi Amaechi, says the train fares between Kaduna and Abuja was increased because majority of those using the service are rich. Speaking on Thursday at the 3rd edition of the Kaduna Investment Summit, Amaechi said the intention of the president towards the railway was to transport poor people. “Some of you have been asking why we increased the fare between Kaduna and Abuja,” he said during his address at the summit. “For each locomotive, we spend N56 million, when we were charging you N600, we were getting N16 million so all you rich men, we were dashing you N40 million per month. Zimbabwe’s military has read out a statement after taking over the national broadcaster, ZBC, saying it has taken action to “target criminals”, BBC reports.
