Gatundu South lawmaker Moses Kuria has claimed NASA is headed for a nasty split soon
- He claims the latest call by the Opposition leaders to boycott goods and services from three firms is just an exit strategy to cover up for the coming separation
- According to Kuria, the coalition will split in five ways each led by the four NASA co-principals and other key leaders
- He alleges Kalonzo Musyoka will lead one group in defecting to Jubilee while Raila will lead another for his 2022 bid
Moses Wetangula and Musalia Mudavadi will lead another pack while Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi will lead another faction
Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has poured cold water on NASA leader Raila Odinga’s call for a boycott of goods and services from three firms in Kenya.
The controversial legislator alleged the move to ask supporters to keep off Safaricom,Brookside Dairies and Bidco Oil Refineries products is just a smoke screen to cover up an expected breakup of the Opposition coalition.
Kuria said Raila and his group know their “game is over” and that President-elect Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in with or without a petition to challenge his win during the repeat election.

“What is all this brouhaha about #Resist and economic boycott? At best, it is just therapeutic. Raila Odinga and NASA know very well the game is over. Uhuru Kenyatta will be sworn in either on 14th November or latest 4th December after the collapse of a surrogate petition to be filed by Africog, Katiba Institute and Kura Yangu, Sauti Yangu on Monday (November 6, 2017),” said the MP on social media.
He said the economic boycott called by NASA is Raila’s “safe exit strategy” and is meant to divert attention from a coming political avalanche in the coalition.
According to Kuria, the NASA break up will pit five factions with the 2022 politics being at the center of it all.

The first faction will be led by NASA co-principals Musalia Musalia and Moses Wetangula.
"They will be seeking to inherit Raila's support base in Western and Luo Nyanza in readiness for 2022”, said the MP.
The second offshoot, claims Kuria, will be led by Siaya Senator James Orengo.
Kuria says the Senator who has been very vocal in NASA demonstrations is positioning himself as the next “Ker(leader) of the Luo Nation” to take over from Raila.
“The third faction will be led by the (Mombasa Governor) Hassan Joho-Amason Kingi(Kilifi )axis. Their secession talk is because they can’t lead an economic boycott in Coast lest they face the wrath of the Somali-Arab business interests in Mombasa and Malindi. They are preparing to jettison out of NASA and ODM and they have already registered a political party for this purpose,” added the MP in a Facebook post seen by TUKO.co.ke.
He theorises that the fourth group will be led by Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka whom he says will defect to Jubilee due to “frustrated ambitions and prospects of a better tomorrow politically”.
The last faction, according to Kuria, will be led by the Odinga family.
“They will be fighting tooth and nail to ensure that Baba(Raila) remains on the ballot in 2022 if only to maintain his stranglehold of Luo Nyanza,” he added.
