The IEBC was accused of placing a number of its officials under arrest over data from their KIEMS systems
- A social media user accused the polling commission of doing so after the unnamed officials allegedly leaked raw data to Raila Odinga
- IEBC categorically denied this, saying no such thing happened at their Anniversary Towers offices
The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission responded to allegations that some of their officials had been placed under 'office arrest' at their Anniversary Towers in Nairobi's Central Business District.
The polling commission rubbished these claims after a Jeffrey Oduma (@jefferyoduma1), a declared opposition supporter, took to social media to claim that IEBC officials were under 'arrest' for leaking information to the National Super Alliance.
"IEBC officials put under "office arrest" at the Anniversary Towers after 'someone' intentionally leaks raw data of KIEMS kits to Raila," wrote Oduma on Tuesday, October 31.
