Heavy security was witnessed at the entrance of the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport grounds on Friday, November 17.

National Super Alliance front runner, Raila Odinga, is expected in the country this afternoon following his international travels to the United States of America and London.

We understand that police mounted road blocks at the airport entrance as NASA supporters milled about, some of them said to have been in the area since 4 am.

Raila Odinga was out of the country for 10 days, meeting various foreign leaders to push for electoral reforms in Kenya following the October 26 repeat election in which President Uhuru Kenyatta won a second term.

Hundreds of thousands of opposition supporters were invited to head to the airport to welcome back Raila Odinga.

Police bans were issued to the opposition to stay away from the airport because only authorised people were allowed in the area.

NASA legislators resisted and announced that they would head to the airport with a grand envoy to receive Raila ahead of a grand rally at the Uhuru Park grounds.

Previously, reported that police attempted to prevent the NASA legislators and opposition supporters from having their rally on Thursday, November 16, after their itinerary indicated their day would begin with a presser at the airport grounds and culminate in a rally at Kamkuni grounds.

NASA resisted once again and went to their airport anyway, resulting in cat and mouse games for the better part of the day on Thursday, November 16, and a rally in Kibra constituency instead.

NASA has been adamant for weeks not that they neither recognise Uhuru's victory nor the outcome of the 'sham' election- prompting supporters to brand Raila 'the people's president'.

NASA vowed to pile pressure on President Uhuru and his government to step aside, and a fresh election held within 90 days of the repeat election.
